Brief Biographical Sketch:

I was born and raised in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and moved to the US when I was 16 years old. Ever since I suffered from recurring illnesses as a child I have had a particular passion in science and in particular in medicine. Aside from academics, I love listening to music, computer programming, and playing sports like soccer, tennis, golf and more.
