A proportional-integral(PI) controller is a method of bringing the current state of a system to a desired state(called a setpoint). It is often used in robotics to counteract effects such as friction or inertia, which may introduce error into the robot. In this class, we will explore how a PI controller works, implement a PI controller to control a mathematical model of a motor, and explore some of the drawbacks of PI controllers.
